American Revolution at Sea: Workshop for Teachers
October 6 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
The War of the American Revolution was conducted mainly at sea and its outcome was ultimately determined by naval power. This workshop for teachers will explore the Revolutionary War in this context, including framing the conflict as a competition among the world’s two greatest naval powers—Britain and France. Teachers will receive resources demonstrating the unprecedented scale of the maritime conflict, along with materials introducing the daily life of sailors at sea in the eighteenth century.
Teachers only. Registration required. No registration fee. Lunch provided.
