Ring in the Season at Folsom Tavern

Celebrate the season in Colonial style at historic Folsom Tavern as the museum celebrates an exciting year with expanded educational and community-based programming. All events are part of the Town of Exeter’s Ring in the Season celebration. Tavern holiday design and decor by our friends at Willow.

Weekend Festivities

Friday, December 1

Tavern Tours, 10 am to 4 pm
Tour the decked halls of Folsom Tavern, as costumed guides will discuss its storied history. Shop special discounts in our pop-up gift shop as well!

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children/students/seniors. Children under 6 free.

Holiday Celebration, 5 pm to 8 pm
Step back in time and experience the glow of Folsom Tavern (c.1775), which is professionally decorated this year for the season. Toast the holidays with light snacks and adult refreshments, try your hand at making Colonial holiday gifts, enjoy seasonal music, and visit our pop-up gift shop. You will want to place your bids in our silent auction, too, as we will have some incredible items, including some amazing kayaks with vests, paddles and more!

Admission is free for members, $5 for non-members, and $3 for non-member children. Not a member? Become one and skip the admission price, or bring three hygiene items (bathroom tissue, laundry detergent, dish detergent, shampoo, bar of soap, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes) that we will donate to Saint Vincent de Paul of Exeter.

Saturday, December 2

Parade Refreshments, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
The front two rooms of Folsom Tavern will be open for browsing our pop-up gift shop and purchasing light refreshments to warm you up as you watch the dazzling lights and creative floats in the Exeter Holiday Parade. (Pro tip: Our grounds make for excellent viewing!)

Sunday, December 3

Womenade of Greater Squamscott’s Exeter Area Holiday Home Tour, 1 pm to 5 pm

The Tavern is a featured stop on this year’s Holiday Home Tour. Guests will browse the first floor, hear about its storied history and shop our pop-up gift shop. Tickets required and can only be purchased through Womenade at https://www.exeterareaholidayhousetour.com/

Please note: The Ladd-Gilman House will close for the season on November 30 and the Tavern will close for the season on December 3. Thank you for a wonderful 2017 and we’ll see you in 2018!
